Darsh Desai brings to The Mortgage Office more than a decade of engineering leadership built across some of the most high-growth, operationally demanding consumer and technology companies in the country. As VP of Engineering, Darsh leads the teams responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving the platform that 1,100+ lenders depend on every day.
Before joining TMO, Darsh served as VP of Engineering at Clubspeed, where he secured and scaled a payment gateway processing over $300M annually, modernized the infrastructure through a cloud-native rebuild, and reduced AWS costs by 20% — all while leading a distributed engineering team across a 24/7 global B2B SaaS operation. Prior to that, he served as Head of Engineering at ResortPass, where he helped scale the company from Series A to post-Series B, delivering 2X revenue growth, growing the engineering organization fivefold, and driving a revamped e-commerce experience that served more than 2 million daily active users. He has also held senior engineering leadership roles at Fruition, FASHIONPHILE, SafeRide Health, and Dollar Shave Club.
Darsh has also championed AI-driven development and has hands-on experience integrating AI/ML capabilities — from intelligent search and personalization to session summarization and financial analytics — into production platforms at scale. He is equally savvy working across compliance frameworks, having led HIPAA, PCI, and SOC-2 programs at multiple organizations.
Darsh holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Nirma University in India. A servant leader at his core, he brings to TMO a conviction that the best engineering organizations are built on empowered people, clear accountability, and a relentless focus on outcomes — for the business and the customers it serves.
